To celebrate the launch of our Words of Wisdom workshop series, we invited practitioners both new and experienced to Studio Solomon for an introduction to yoga and writing.
After mindful movement, conscious breathing and sacred stillness, we co-created this poem about how the practice of yoga — from body-based exercises and contemplative techniques, to the embodiment of essential principles in our day-to-day actions — makes us feel:
I feel my body is lop-sided
discovering balance although lopsidedness wants to prevail
lost in time to prevail in space
alive, energized, connected to the universal life force within the space of a connected community
The breath creates a community and a strong connection with the other participants
Its participants shall find peace within.
